Cupra and FC Barcelona boost global partnership

Cupra and FC Barcelona have continued to build their global alliance.
The car manufacturer was invited to a special visit of the new FC Barcelona commercial offices, where Wayne Griffiths, CEO of Cupra, and Joan Laporta, President of FC Barcelona, reaffirmed their brand's commitment to future generations by showcasing their shared projects that connect the worlds of sport and automotive.
Wayne Griffiths also handed over one of the first examples of the Cupra Tavascan to the President of FC Barcelona. Cupra's first all-electric SUV coupe will serve as Joan Laporta's official car, symbolising Cupra's commitment to electric mobility and underlining its role as the official automotive and mobility partner of FC Barcelona.
Joan Laporta and Wayne Griffiths also conducted a site inspection at the works of the Spotify Camp Nou, the club's future stadium, where Cupra is set to also be a key partner and will have branding during matches, dedicated seats, and a VIP partner hospitality box to enjoy the best of football. Cupra will also install electric chargers as well as branding in the car park of the club's commercial offices.
Both organisations recently renewed their global partnership, now set to stand until 2029. In addition to maintaining its relationship with the men's and women's football teams, Cupra is also now the official sponsor of the FC Barcelona basketball, futsal, handball and roller hockey teams until June 2029.
