Zeekr has revealed the first details of its first family SUV, the 7X.
Equipped with silicon carbide electric motors, this SUV will reach 100km/h from a standstill in just 3.8 seconds. All this, comes thanks to its battery pack, which can be had either as a 75kWh lithium-iron phosphate item allowing a CLTC range of 605km, or a 100kWh nickel manganese cobalt item, which extends this CLTC range to 780km.
That lithium-iron phosphate battery, by the way, is said to offer the world's fastest charging capability, with a 10% to 80% state-of-charge top up being able to be accomplished in just 10.5 minutes.
And don't imagine all this performance comes thanks to a compact body, either. The Zeekr 7X measures in at 4,825mm long, 1,930mm wide, and stands at 1,656mm tall (that is, in between a BMW iX3 and the BMW iX).
Based on the firm's Sustainable Experience Architecture (that also underpins the Lotus Eletre), the five-seater promises a spacious interior with generous levels of head and leg room. Also present here is a total of 32 storage compartments, while a 616-litre trunk should see to a lot more than the family's weekly groceries.
The Zeekr also comes with a sensor suite powered by dual Nvidia Orin-X SoCs and informed by a host of sensors including Lidar, high-definition cameras, and millimetre-wave radar, all to inform its smart assist driving functions with multiple redundancies, although these are not set to appear in all markets outside of China. Its infotainment system, meanwhile, comes powered by a Qualcomm 8295 chipset.
First deliveries of the Zeekr 7X are start China by the end of September 2024, with global deliveries scheduled to follow within a year.
