Zeekr MIX makes international debut in Frankfurt

As premium electric brand Zeekr continues to make inroads into international markets, it is making sure to hand the spotlight over not just to its cars, but also to the sorts of technologies underpinning them.
The recently-concluded Automechanika Frankfurt saw a trio of the firm's latest models taking centrestage alongside Zeekr's upgraded batteries and latest-generation platform at the brand's booth.
For starters, among the trio were the Zeekr X, a compact electric crossover (which was recently launched in Singapore); the Zeekr 001 FR, a 1,265bhp electric wagon which can zip to 100km/h from rest in just 2.07 seconds; and its latest model to make an international debut: The Zeekr MIX.
Dubbed a "living room on wheels" and the brand's "vision of future mobility", it's likely that what will strike one first about the MIX is its minimalist van-like silhouette. Apart from boasting what is claimed to be the industry's flattest in-cabin floor, the electric minivan also comes with two swivelling seats in the front that can rotate 270-degrees.
But the MIX is also crucial for another reason: It marks Zeekr's first model to be built atop the latest-generation SEA-M architecture, which is said to maximise space, promise five-star global safety standards, and offer agile handling.
Apart from the three cars and SEA-M architecture, Zeekr also made sure to highlight its upgraded lithium-ion phosphate batteries at Automechanika Frankfurt. Said to feature 5.5C ultra-fast charging, the upgraded batteries can see their state-of-charge go from 10 to 80% in just 10.5 minutes when hooked up to the right outlet - currently claimed to be the fastest rate in the world.
In the meantime, Zeekr states that its plans to enter more global markets continuing at breakneck pace. Starting from October 2021, more than 320,000 vehicles have been delivered to date, while the brand has entered over 30 new territories since embarking on its international expansions, including the Netherlands, Sweden, Thailand, Brazil, Australia, and of course, Singapore.
The brand recently also its first mid-sized SUV, the 7X, which is powered by a 100kWh battery and is scheduled to be launched in global markets in 2025.
