McLaren Group gets new owners once again
20 Dec 2024|102 views
Just months ago, in March 2024, Mumtalakat Holding Company, the sovereign wealth fund of the Kingdom of Bahrain, took full control of McLaren Group. Fast forward to 29 October 2024, and the sports car brand found its ownership changing hands once again - this time to CYVN Holdings, an Abu-Dhabi-based investment company.
As well as being the largest shareholder of Nio and completing the purchase of Gordon Murray Group in 2023, CYVN can now add McLaren to its portfolio. The company has pledged to provide the Woking-based firm with additional capital and advanced engineering expertise, alongside its cross-industry experience.
With this acquisition, and with its investment, CYVN believes McLaren can focus on projects already in the works, with the profits used to fund other future projects.
