The General Insurance Association of Singapore has launched a new Myinfo Reporting Service.
The new service will be integrated into the accident reporting process, allowing all Singpass account holders to initiate and pre-fill motor accident reports online before heading to an Accident Reporting Centre.
With this integration, vehicle owners and drivers can securely and easily authenticate their identity through Singpass to submit accident scene photos and videos online, eliminating the need for manual form-filling and minimise waiting time. Thereafter, they can proceed to an reporting centre to complete the reporting process.
Speaking on the new service, Mr. Ho Kai Weng, Chief Executive of the General Insurance Association of Singapore, stated, "The Myinfo Reporting service offers quicker identity authentication and reduces the risk of inaccurate information provided by motorists. This helps to streamline the accident reporting process."
The launch of Myinfo Reporting is part of GIA's ongoing efforts to integrate technology into processes to further enhance motorists' experience. The association also launched the Vehicle Accident Report History service in February, which allows prospective buyers of second-hand vehicles to understand the accident history of the vehicle prior to purchase by buying a report that shows the dates of accident reports made by owners or drivers of their vehicles for the past six years.
