Kia has marked the start of production of the 2025 EV9 at its assembly plant in West Point, Georgia, U.S.A.
The all-electric three-row SUV joins other models built at the plant including the Telluride, Sorento and Sportage, and comes after more than U.S.D $200 million ($271 million) investment which has added approximately 200 new jobs and given the plant to flexibility to assemble both electric vehicles alongside the firm’s more traditional products on the same assembly line.
The special first vehicle was introduced by SeungKyu (Sean) Yoon, President and CEO for Kia North America and Kia America, before being driven off the assembly line by Georgia Governor Brian Kemp and James Watson, Kia Georgia's Vice President of Production.
