18 Dec 2024|98 views
As the second vehicle to be built on the fully electric AMG.EA architecture, the first prototypes of the new high-performance Mercedes-AMG SUV have started cold-weather testing.
Comprising tests at specialist facilities and public roads, the prototypes will kick off winter testing in northern Sweden. In addition, the SUV will also undergo demanding tests near the Arctic Circle at sub-zero temperatures, which will ensure that the interaction of all components is thoroughly tested.
The new Mercedes-AMG SUV will also demonstrate the pioneering role of the high-performance drive in the all-electric AMG.EA architecture, including the use of axial-flux motors and a new high-performance battery concept.
