New Harley-Davidson Hydra-Glide Revival debuts in Singapore

At the exclusive Singapore premiere of The Bikeriders on 19 June 2024, a movie that chronicles the rise of a midwestern American motorcycle club, Harley-Davidson also revealed the latest addition to the limited edition Icons motorcycle collection - the 2024 Hydra-Glide Revival.
Inspired by the looks of the classic era of motorcycles, the Hydra-Glide Revival celebrates the 75th anniversary of the 1949 introduction of the Hydra-Glide telescopic front suspension for Harley-Davidson E and F models. The Hydra-Glide Revival gets exclusive styling features, such as the custom Redline Red paint with a Birch White panel on fuel tank sides, chrome badges inspired by 1955-56 tank badges, as well as "Hydra-Glide" script badges on the front fender skirt.
The model also gets instrument graphics that harkens back to speedometers of the 50s, a two-tone 21-inch high detachable windshield with a colour-matched lower portion in Redline Red, as well as a chrome round air cleaner cover and chrome steel laced wheels, all adding to the bike's nostalgic look. A solo saddle is finished with a fringed and decorated leather valance, white seam piping and red contrast stitching, and a chrome rail. A matching black leather tank strap is embellished with studs and a concho. Leather and vinyl saddlebags are detailed with chrome conchos with acrylic red centers, chrome studs and leather fringe, white seam piping and red contrast stitching.
While the look of the bike screams classic, the mechanical underpinnings are decidedly modern. Power comes from a counter-balanced Milwaukee-Eight 114 V-Twin engine tuned with a Screamin' Eagle High-Flow air cleaner, while the Softail chassis utilises an adjustable mono-shock rear suspension that delivers high riding comfort and dynamic cornering capability. Other modern equipment include electronic cruise control, LED head light and auxillary lamps, as well as the anti-lock braking system for safe control across all riding conditions.
The movie premiere brought together dedicated Harley Davidson owners, including members of the Harley Owners Group - Singapore Chapter. The boisterous sense of community, emphasised by the vast collection of owner bikes parked up right outside Shaw House, draws clear parallels with the time period captured in The Bikeriders movie. The movie charts the rebellious rise of a Midwestern motorcycle club (with many classic Harley-Davidsons featured, of course), and the unique impact that motorcycle culture had on the members and families involved. The movie is now in theatres.
The 2024 Hydra-Glide Revival now available at authorised Singapore dealer, Wearnes Harley-Davidson of Singapore, alongside the rest of the Harley-Davidson model lineup.
