Following the launch of the Audi A3 Sportback 40 TFSI e in October 2024, Audi has launched the new plug-in hybrid A3 allstreet 40 TSFI e.
Powering the car is a 1.5-litre TFSI evo2 turbocharged petrol engine with 148bhp and 250Nm of torque and an electric motor with 85kW and 330Nm of torque, which offers a total system output of 201bhp and 350Nm of torque.
The A3 allstreet has a top speed of 225km/h and up to 140km/h in pure electric mode thanks to its 25.7kWh high-voltage battery.
Electric driving can be prioritised by selecting the EV button in the switch panel or multi-media interface. Its primary operating mode, “Auto Hybrid”, employs pure electric driving at low speeds, while prioritising the TFSI engine at higher speeds.
With the foot off the accelerator pedal and depending on the driving situation, the A3 allstreet either sails with the engine switched off or has its electric motor recuperate in coasting mode.
The A3 allstreet also offers DC charging of up to 50kW, with the battery able to recharge from 10% to 80% in under 30 minutes. AC charging is available at 11kW, with the charging process taking 150 minutes.
In comparison to the A3 Sportback, the A3 allstreet's ride height is 15mm higher, with a larger tyre diameter offering 30mm more ground clearance. 17-inch wheels are fitted as standard.
