Like the new Audi Q5 SUV but want just a bit more sportiness when it comes to the design of your family SUV? Audi now has just what you're looking for.
Two months since the reveal of the Q5 SUV sees the firm now pairing it with this new Q5 Sportback. Both cars now make use of slim head lights, paired with a Singleframe grille, which in turn is flanked on either side by functional air curtains.
But at the rear is where the Q5 Sportback differentiates itself from the Q5 SUV. Here you get a roofline that gently slopes down from the B-pillar onwards. This ends in a sculptural light strip that cuts across the entire width of the vehicle. This rear also opens to a 515-litre boot that can be expanded to offer a total of 1,415 litres by folding the rear seats down (this figure stands at 1,473 litres in the Audi Q5 SUV).
Step within the cabin of the Audi Q5 Sportback and you'll find Audi's MMI panoramic display, which comprises of an 11.9-inch digital driver's instrument cluster and a 14.5-inch infotainment system.
The cabin of the Audi Q5 Sportback will also feature the firm's MMI passenger display alongside Cascade upholstery and Dinamica microfibre, materials which are primarily made from recycled polyester and demonstrate Audi's commitment to using resources sustainably.
And all this comes atop the Premium Platform Combustion platform, which will also cradle the series of mild-hybrid drivetrains offered for the Q5 Sportback. This drivetrain lineup starts in Europe with a 201bhp drivetrain that makes use of a 2.0-litre engine paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The 2.0-litre EA288 evo diesel engine will also be available in Europe for the Q5 Sportback, also generating a total of 201bhp.
Those who want more power will also be able to pick the Audi SQ5 Sportback from market launch in Europe. This variant will come with a 3.0-litre V6 that produces a total of 362bhp and 550Nm of torque. The Audi SQ5 Sportback will also get sporty exterior touches including a Scandium Grey radiator grille. This colour is also repeated on the inlays of its front air intake. At the rear, meanwhile, the car comes with a matte black diffuser.
Both the Audi Q5 Sportback and Audi SQ5 Sportback will be available to order in Europe come December 2024 and is currently expected to arrive in Singapore by the second quarter of 2025.
