MINI Countryman scores five-star Euro NCAP rating

As the largest model in the brand's range, the MINI Countryman has achieved a five-star Euro NCAP rating, standing out in the tests thanks to its occupant protection in varying types of collisions, effective protection for pedestrians and cyclists, as well as effective accident avoidance systems.

Its standard driver assistance systems also helped towards the rating, and the standard centre airbag between the driver and the front passenger seats was rated as highly effective. The Countryman also achieved maximum points in the frontal offset test and the side barrier impact test for the protection of children.

According to Euro NCAP, the front and rear seats and the accompanying head restraints offer good protection against cervical injuries that may transpire in rear impacts. In addition, its active engine compartment lids help reduce the risk of injury to pedestrians and cyclists.
