Lamborghini and the Italian State Police will be celebrating 20 years of collaboration, which began in 2004 with the delivery of a Lamborghini Gallardo.
Since then, the Italian State Police has benefitted from a succession of high-performance vehicles serving in patrolling and emergency medical response services, as well as completing over 200 organ transport missions across Italy and featuring in more than 1,500 road safety education events.
In total, six vehicles have joined the Italian State Police's fleet in the past 20 years, with the Gallardo 510-4 being the first in 2004, completing four years of service in various roles and covering approximately 140,000km. A second Gallardo 510-4 followed in 2005, equipped with a refrigerated compartment in the boot for organ transport.
In 2008, the previous models were replaced by the Gallardo LP 560-4, which featured a front boot with a refrigerated compartment alongside a defibrillator. In 2014, the Huracan LP 610-4 arrived, with a second model following in 2017.
In 2023, Lamborghini handed over the keys to a Urus Performante, delivered in December that year. It sports essential features such as a secure weapon drawer, defibrillator, a refrigerated compartment, and a display and data logger for constant temperature monitoring.
