Defender becomes Dakar Rally car partner from 2025

Defender has recently announced that it will be the official car partner of Dakar from 2025, in a multi-year partnership with the world's toughest rally raid event.
Starting with the 2025 Dakar Rally, which runs from 3 January 2025 to 17 January 2025, and set to continue till 2028, a fleet of Defenders will be provided for the event to transport rally officials and VIP media for the duration of the competition.
Six specialised Defender recce vehicles will also be supplied to support officials of the Dakar organisation to test routes for future Dakar events.
In addition, Defender has confirmed its intention to enter an official team beginning in 2026, bringing the iconic 4x4 brand to the world's ultimate off-road endurance race as a works entry for the first time.
