Bentley has announced that it will launch its new fourth generation Continental GT Speed come 11:00pm Singapore time on 25 June 2024.
The firm states that the car will deliver a total of 771bhp and 1,000Nm of torque alongside an 80km electric-only range, placing it rather close to the 805bhp that the Mercedes-AMG SL63 S E Performance offers. The car is described as Bentley's most powerful road car in its now 105-year history, and as an important milestone in the firm's Beyond100 journey to be the leader in sustainable luxury mobility.
The new Continental GT Speed will sport technologies including active all-wheel drive with torque vectoring, four-wheel steering, a 48V electric active anti-roll control system, and new advanced dual-valve dampers alongside an electronic limited slip differential.
Bentley also stats that the car has already claimed an unofficial 'underwater speed record', reaching a top speed of 335km/h in the longest subsea road tunnel and deepest tunnel of any kind on the planet - the Ryfylke Tunnel in Norway. A film showcasing the tunnel run will be released when the car is launched.
