MINI to reveal new John Cooper Works hot hatch

Is the John Cooper Works-inspired 'Sport' trim for the MINI Cooper SE not quite to your taste? There's good news ahead: A new petrol-powered MINI JCW is already on the horizon.
MINI has announced that the new MINI John Cooper Works will make its appearance at the 2024 24 Hours of Nurburgring. We take it that the No. 317 car you see in the photos is not exactly it. Instead, it's the racecar of private racing team Bulldog Racing, which will be competing in the event's SP 3T category.
Bulldog Racing, if you remember, were the team which MINI used to debut the current John Cooper Works logo. This new logo now appears on the racecar’s wing mirrors, front diffuser and wheel arches, plastered atop its a red and while colour scheme - a nod to the classic colours used by the Minis which participated in motorsports through the 1960s.
Look closer and you'll also notice Bulldog Racing's racecar sports multiple '37' logos, a nod to MINI's historic victory at the 1964 Rallye Monte Carlo 60 years ago. We are hoping the added aggressiveness from that new front grille and that rear diffuser all get retained on the actual MINI JCW that we’ll see in the showrooms.
